Companion caregivers offer meaningful companionship while assisting with everyday activities that do not require hands-on personal care or skilled nursing services.Providing companionship and engaging in conversation Offering emotional support and social interaction Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and light cleanup Performing light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, and organizing) Running errands and grocery shopping Providing transportation to appointments, social activities, and community events Medication reminders (without administering medications) Encouraging participation in hobbies, exercise, and recreational activities Monitoring for changes in the client's overall well-being and reporting concerns to the agency or family Promoting a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment **Companion caregivers do not provide skilled nursing care, administer medications, perform medical procedures, or provide hands-on personal care unless specifically trained and authorized to do so under agency policy and applicable state law.
